Nani Kama Mama – Women Empowerment Program

Empowering women, strengthening families, transforming communities

At Angaza Mission, women are at the heart of our work. Through the Nani Kama Mama initiative, we empower women in four key areas:

Jenga Mama, Jenga Jamii

This flagship program is built on the belief that empowering a woman is empowering an entire community. We equip women with skills, resources, and opportunities to improve their livelihoods, enhance their confidence, and actively contribute to positive change within their families and communities.

Support for Women in Prison

We are committed to walking alongside women both inside and outside prison as they rebuild their lives. Believing in second chances, we address the unique challenges faced by incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women:

  • Monthly provision of essential items
  • Free psychotherapy sessions
  • Support for children born in prison
  • School enrollment assistance

Ishi Bila Ukatili (IBU Program)

We take a holistic stand against Gender-Based Violence (GBV). We provide psychosocial support for survivors, create awareness, meet basic needs, and champion justice and accountability. Beyond healing, we foster economic empowerment, community engagement, and peer support.

Our work also extends to incarcerated women and children, restoring dignity through care, mentorship, and prison birthday celebrations.

Support for Older Persons

Age is just a number and with it comes wisdom, experience, and a lifetime of stories. We honor our heroes by offering psychological support and basic necessities, ensuring they can meet their daily food needs with dignity and care.
